What Qualifies as a Maintenance Emergency?
An “emergency” is an occurrence or issue that makes your apartment home uninhabitable. See below for examples of emergencies under this definition:
Electrical devices smoking/sparking/burning
Gas smell or carbon monoxide detector alert
Flood or major water leak
Fire
Frozen pipes
All toilets inoperable
Broken window or window lock
The garage door not opening with vehicle stuck inside
No heat during the winter
Low smoke detector battery
Locked out of apartment or lock is broken (25 charge applies to lockouts)
Evenings and weekends only:
No hot water
Clogged kitchen sink or disposal
Weekends and holidays only:
Fridge or stove not working
